Before the calculation, please enter the remanence value (Br in T) of the magnet material, the geometrical dimensions (R1, L1 in mm) of the magnet and the distance (L in mm) to calculate the pull force between the disc magnet and the iron flat.

For calculating the pull force between a ring magnet and the iron flat you can consider the ring magnet (OD x ID x H) as two disc magnets, one magnet (disc magnet 1) with size OD x H and another magnet (disc magnet 2) with size ID x H. The pull force of the ring magnet is equal to the pull force diffrencce between the two disc magnets, i.e.,
